appellant's claim for higher compensation for the acquired land is covered by a decision rendered by this Court on 20.10.2022 in Jaspal Singh & Ors. vs. The State of Haryana & Ors. (C.A.Nos. 7516- 7521/2022), wherein the compensation has been enhanced to Rs.22,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs) per acre.
4. Learned State counsel, however, submits and rightly so, that since the appellants did not approach the High Court against the Award of the Reference Court, they cannot be held entitled to any interest for the period to be calculated from the date of the Award of the Reference Court.
