UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

Interlocutory Application No. 5 of 2012

Mr. S. Wasim A. Qadri, learned counsel for the Union Of India, submits that the notification has been issued by the Government of India under Section 6 of the Inter-State Water Disputes Act, 1956 publishing the decision of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal dated February 5, 2007 in the Official Gazette. We accept his statement.

We are informed that water is being released by Karnataka in compliance of the order dated February 7, 2013.

In view of above, nothing further remains for decision in this Interlocutory Application. Interlocutory Application No. 5 of 2012 stands disposed of accordingly. Interlocutory Application No. 6 of 2012 Learned senior counsel for the parties are ad idem that this interlocutory application does not survive. Mr. C.S. Vaidyanathan, learned senior counsel for the petitioner - State of Tamil Nadu, submits that the order dated February 7, 2013 passed by this Court has been substantially complied with.

In view thereof, we are not inclined to entertain this Contempt Petition. Contempt Petition is disposed of accordingly.
