Mr. Sudarshan Singh Rawat, AOR Mr. Abhijit Sengupta, AOR UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R Ms. Aparna Bhat, learned counsel appearing for the National Commission for Women has filed a preliminary status report. She says that four months' time is required to prepare a final report with regard to three States, viz., Odisha, West Bengal and Uttarakhand. Time as prayed for is granted. At the time of filing the final report, the National Commission for Women should also take inputs from the State of Uttar Pradesh so that one consolidated report is filed for four States for the convenience of everybody. Certain interim directions are prayed for in the preliminary report. Mr. Kailash Vasudev, learned senior counsel appearing for the Union of India says that interim directions will be implemented since they do not involve any complications. We expect the Union of India to implement the interim directions within two months. In the report filed by Ms. Renuka Kumar on behalf of 4 the State of Uttar Pradesh, it is pointed out that Sulabh International has withdrawn its assistance since HelpAge India is involved in the project. Merely because some NGO is assisting the widows does not mean that anybody else is debarred from rendering assistance. We request Sulabh International to continue its efforts and to assist in the betterment of the widows in Vrindavan and other places. We have also gone through the pendrive submitted by Ms. Renuka Kumar. The pendrive is returned to learned counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh and objections given by Ms. Renuka Kumar has been taken into account. Mr. Kailash Vasudev, learned senior counsel for the Union of India says that the copies of the affidavit in compliance with the direction of this Court dated 11 th March, 2016 will be handed over to the appearing counsel. List the matter on 2 nd September, 2016. (SANJAY KUMAR-I) (JASWINDER KAUR) AR-CUM-PS COURT MASTER
