UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
The appeals filed by the Union of India are likely to be listed for further hearing before this Court on 7 February 2020.
Having regard to the fact that notice was issued on 8 April 2019 and the appeals are likely to be heard shortly hereafter, we are of the view that it would not be expedient in the interest of justice to pursue coercive action against the officials of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change1, at this stage. Hence, we request the National Green Tribunal to adjourn the proceedings in execution as against the officials of MoEF&CC until the appeals by the Union of India are taken up by this Court.
IA No 13951 of 2020 is accordingly disposed of.
Pending applications for impleadment be also listed with the appeals on the next date of hearing.
