UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following ORDER
- Heard learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioners and perused the material placed on record.
$\overline{2}$ . Issue notice, returnable on 18-11-2024.
The respondents be served through Dasti notice.
Meanwhile, operation of the impugned order dated 8-10-2024 passed by the Single Bench of the High Court in WPA No.24170/2024 as well as the order dated 6-11-2024 passed by the Division Bench
of the High Court in MAT No. 2026/2024 arising out of W.P.A. No.24170/2024 shall remain stayed.
5. However, the investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the State Government shall also be kept in abeyance till we reconstitute a SIT at the earliest.
6. The State is directed to furnish a list of 7 IPS Officers who otherwise belong to the States other than West Bengal but are serving in the West Bengal cadre. Out of these officers, at least 5 officers should be women IPS Officers.
