UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Application filed by Mr.Prateek R.Patel for permission to appear and argue as respondent-in- person is rejected.
By an order dated 10.12.2018, we directed the appellants to pay to the land owners (respondents) compensation in respect of their land at the rate of Rs.178/- per square metre along with interest at the rate of 18%. The respondents were also held to be entitled to apply to the Collector under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 for making a reference to the civil court for determination of the amount payable to the land owners, which shall be subject to the result of the present Special Leave Petition.
The compensation amount as directed to be paid to the respondents by this Court, shall be deposited in the reference Court. The respondents are at liberty to approach the Reference Court for withdrawal of the claim amount, which shall be decided on its own merits.
