UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
- 1 The last date for completing admissions for post graduate medical seats in the State of Tamil Nadu was 2 December 2022.
- 2 Three colleges made admissions on 4 December 2022 in pursuance of the interim order of the High Court.
- 3 Counsel appearing on behalf of the State of Tamil Nadu submits that the State had moved the National Medical Council for the purpose of regularizing the admissions.
- 4 Mr Gaurav Sharma, counsel appearing on behalf of the National Medical Council states that the last date for admissions has been extended to 14 January 2023 and hence so long as admissions have been made from the list which has been furnished by the State Government, there would be no difficulty in accepting the plea.
- 5 Hence, it is clarified that since the last date of admission has been extended to 14 January 2023, the State would be at liberty to regularise the admissions made after due verification to the satisfaction of the Single Judge of the High Court that the admissions were made from the list which was provided by the State of Tamil Nadu to the medical colleges concerned.
- 6 The Special Leave Petition are accordingly disposed of.
- 7 Pending application(s), if any, stands disposed of.
