UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
On the last date of hearing (18.01.2016), learned Solicitor General had informed us that he will take instructions from the Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture. Today, he has reported that a meeting will be convened by the Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture with his counter-parts in the States mentioned in our last order dated 18.01.2016 on 25.01.2016 which will be followed by another meeting on 27.01.2016.
In view of the urgency and importance of the matter, we adjourn this petition to 01.02.2016 on which date learned Solicitor General will inform us about the steps that have been taken and the steps that are proposed to be taken in these States. We hope that the States will take positive and necessary steps particularly in view of our last order dated 18.01.2016.
Affidavits may be filed during the course of the day.
