UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that despite the order of status quo passed by this Court on 19.10.2023 in the captioned SLP, the District Collector, Amritsar is pursuing with proceedings under Section 7 of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961 in compliance of the Order dated 12.09.2023 in CWP No.4446/1996 (O&M) passed by the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. Hence, the proceedings before the District Collector, Amritsar in purported compliance of the judgment dated 12.09.2023 shall stand stayed. The petitioners shall take fresh steps to serve the unserved respondents in the normal mode of service. Dasti in addition is also permitted.
