O R D E R
It appears that during the pendency of the instant transfer petition, there is a settlement between the parties in regard to writ petition No.6028/2014 pending before the Gauhati High Court, the transfer of which is sought under the instant transfer petition. The terms of the settlement between the parties is reduced into writing, a copy of which is placed before this Court by learned counsel appearing for the State of Assam as I.A.No.... of 2017. Mr. Tushar Mehta, learned Additional Solicitor General appearing for the respondents-Union of India, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. and Oil India Limited admits the fact that there is a settlement and also does not dispute the correctness of settlement agreement placed before this Court.
In the circumstances, the transfer petition is dismissed.
In view of the settlement of the dispute between the parties, the writ petition No.6028/2014 pending before the Gauhati High Court becomes infructuous and the same also stands dismissed.
