UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

We have heard senior learned counsel for the parties at length.

Issues pertaining to retainment, termination, payment and the consequential retrenchment have been raised in these Contempt Petitions.

After hearing learned senior counsel for the parties, we are of the view that issues, such as reinstatement, termination and retrenchment cannot be the subject matter of present proceedings.

That leaves us with only one issue which is the due compliance on the part of the contemnors on the payment due.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the University are directed to file affidavits demonstrating the basis upon which the amount due is

calculated by respective parties.

Affidavits will have to be filed within two weeks.

List on 5th November, 2024 at 2 p.m.

Needless to state, that for the other issues, it is well open to the parties to work out their remedies before appropriate forums as we have not expressed anything on the merits.
