The Writ Petition abovementioned has been filed in this Registry by Ms. Mayuri Raghuvanshi, Advocate for the Petitioner on 13.04.2017.

It is submitted that Writ Petition (C) No. 247 of 2017, seeking directions for declaring Section 139AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961, which provides, inter alia, that every person who is eligible to obtain Aadhar Number is required to quote Aadhar Number in the PAN application form and Income Tax Return, as unconstitutional, illegal, arbitrary and in violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India, is being listed before the Hon'ble Court on 21.04.2017.

It is further submitted that Writ Petition (C) No. 494 of 2012 etc. seeking mandamus for restraining Respondent Nos. 1 to 3 therein from issuing Aadhar numbers by way of implementing the executive order dated 28.01.2009, are pending before the Constitution Bench.

It is next submitted that Mr. Zoheb Hossain, Advocate has filed Caveat/ Vakalatnama and appearance on behalf of Respondent No. 3, viz Unique Identification Authority of India in Writ Petition (C) No. 277 of 2017 and the said Writ Petition has been tagged with Writ Petition (C) No. 247 of 2017.

It is lastly submitted that the said matter was mentioned before the Hon'ble Court on 19.04.2017, when the Court directed to l ist this matter on 21.4.2017, as per roster.

The Writ Petition abovementioned is listed before the Hon'ble Court with this Office Report for Orders.
