UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and on perusal of the order alleged to have been disobeyed namely order dated 11.05.2022, we are of the considered view that prima facie there has not been full compliance of the order passed by this Court dated 11.05.2022. At this juncture, the learned Advocates appearing for the contemnors fairly submit if some breathing time is granted they would ensure that order dated 11.05.2022 would be complied with.

Placing their submissions on record, the matter stands adjourned by four weeks. It is made clear that in the event of affidavit of compliance is not being filed on the next date of hearing, the contemnors no. 1 to 3 and 5 shall appear in person on the next date of hearing.

It is needless to state that the writ petitioners would be required to file an undertaking before the respondents indicating the date from which they have been employed in any other institution or University or otherwise, upon which the respondents/contemnors shall undertake the exercise of calculating the arrears of salary/wages payable to writ petitioners and said exercise shall be undertaken within four weeks from the undertaking being filed. The said arrears which would be required to be computed and paid, shall be till September, 2022.

Post the matters on 15.12.2023.
