UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following $0 R D E R$
1 Mr Rana Mukherjee, senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, submits that several States have not yet completed the second round of counseling for Post Graduate Medical Seats, while, in the meantime, the mop up round of counseling would be completed. Thus, it is urged, is in breach of the order of this Court.
Ms Aishwarya Bhati, Additional Solicitor General, has submitted a tabular statement of the status of NEET PG counselling for the States mentioned in the Contempt Petition, which is reproduced below:

- 3 The above statement indicates that the State counselling for the second round in Karnataka and Bihar is still ongoing.
- 4 In this view of the matter, it would be appropriate to issue notice to the States of Karnataka and Bihar. We accordingly issue notice.
- 5 Liberty to serve the Standing Counsel for the States of Karnataka and Bihar, in addition.
- 6 The Standing Counsel shall take instructions on the date by which the second round of counselling shall be completed.
- 7 Personal presence of the alleged contemnors is dispensed with for the time being.
- 8 List the Contempt Petition on 9 November 2022.
