UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Issue Rule on the Writ Petition, returnable six weeks hence. Let the Rule be served at the cost of the Registry, expeditiously.
In view of the Report submitted by the Registrar (Judicial- II), regarding the competence of the petitioners to represent their case themselves and having heard the petitioners in person, we are of the view that they require proper legal assistance.
Mr. Fakruddin, learned senior advocate, who is present in Court, offers to appear on behalf of the petitioners and has submitted that his Advocate-on-Record, Mr. T.Mahipal, will take steps to file vakalatnama and appear on their behalf.
In the meantime, the Administration shall ensure that proper and adequate protection is provided to the petitioners on account of the threats being received by them.
