IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA CRIMINAL APPELLATE JURISDICTION CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. 1197 /2024 [@ SLP [CRL.] NO.14009/2023]
CENTRAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (CBI) Appellant(s)
VERSUS
SUNIL KUMAR JAIN Respondent(s)
O R D E R
Leave granted.
The impugned order has been challenged by the appellant being aggrieved over the setting aside of the condition imposed by the trial Court. Therefore, we are inclined to modify the said order as the appellant is apprehensive that the respondent may be a flight risk.
In such view of the matter, we are inclined to consider the alternative submission made even before the High Court that as and when the respondent chooses to leave the country, he has to inform the Investigating Officer about the date of travel, place of travel and his returning date. The information would also be given prior to the travel and after he has returned.
The name and particulars of the present Official concerned shall be informed to the respondent within a period of four weeks.
The appeal stands disposed of accordingly.
