UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R Permission to file the special leave petition is granted. Heard Mr. Giri, learned senior counsel for the petitioners, Mr. Guntur Prabhakar, learned counsel for the State of Andhra Pradesh and Mr. Gaurav Sharma, learned counsel for the Medical Council of India. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, it is directed by an interim measure that the seats available in sports quota for the year 2016-2017 shall be filled up from amongst the meritorious candidates after adjudging their merits. Needless to clarify, a meritorious candidate should have the requisite eligibility. If the students have already been admitted by virtue of the order passed by this Court, the said seats shall be adjusted accordingly. The exercise shall be carried out within a week hence.
