2. It is contended, inter alia**, that in the award dated 02.05.1986 as well as in the written statement filed before the High Court non-payment of compensation was candidly admitted. after payment of compensation and since no compensation was ever paid, no occasion arose to take over the possession. Further, only Rapat Roznamcha was shown to have been entered regarding possession, whereas the petitioner has constructed a residential house at the site.

3. Issue notice, returnable on 24.11.2023.

4. The parties are directed to maintain status quo till further orders.
