The Writ Petition above-mentioned was filed by Mr. Rohit Kumar Singh, Advocate for the Petitioner on 22.09.2015, praying therein to:

"issue appropriate writ directing the State of Goa to produce all the orders grating renewals by the State of Goa purportedly in exercise under Section 8(3) of MMDR Act for iron ore mining leases in respect of leases that expired in the year 2007 and to set aside and quash the said orders and lease-deeds executed thereof, etc. "

It is submitted that the instant Writ Petition has been tagged with Writ Petition (C) No. 711 of 2015 as both are arising out of similar issue.

It is further submitted that Mr. K.J. John & Co., Advocates have on 01.10.2015 filed Caveat and Vakalatnama/appearance on behalf of Respondent No. 23 and also on 14.10.2015 filed Vakalatnama/ appearance on behalf of Respondent Nos. 4 and 22 respectively.

It is further submitted that Mr. Yashraj Singh Deora, Advocate has on 22.09.2015 and Mr. Jayant Mohan, Advocate has on 01.10.2015 filed Caveat on behalf of Respondent No. 21 (M/s Sociedade Timblo Irmaos Limitada) and Respondent No. 12 (Sesa Goa Ltd.) respectively.

W.P. (C) NO. 711 OF 2015:

The Writ Petition above mentioned is filed on 15.09.2015 by Mr. Prashant Bhushan, Advocate for the Petitioner praying therein to:-

"(i) To issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, quashing and setting aside the second renewals under Section 8(3) of MMDR 1957, etc."

It is submitted that in response to the defects raised by this registry regarding prayer (iii), maintainability of writ petition and chronologically of annexure. Mr. Prashant Bhushan, Advocate for the petitioner has given a letter dated 22.09.2015. (Copy of the letter dated 22.09.2015 is enclosed herewith for the kind perusal of the Hon'ble Court).

It is next submitted that W.P. (c) No. 435 of 2012 relating to illegal mining in the State of Goa is pending before this Hon'ble Court and was lastly listed on 14.08.2015. (Copy of the order dated 14.08.2015 is enclosed herewith for the kind perusal of the Hon'ble Court).

It is further submitted that M/s. Jayant Mohan, Yashraj Singh Deora and K.J. John & Co. Advocates have on 23.09.2015, 28.09.2015 and 29.09.2015 filed Caveat/Vakalatnama on behalf of Respondent Nos. 10, 12, 22 and 24 respectively.

It is submitted that M/s. K.J. John & Co., Advocates have on 14.10.2015 filed Vakalatnama/appearance on behalf of Respondent Nos. 5 and 23 respectively.

It is lastly submitted that both the Writ Petitions above mentioned were listed before the Hon'ble Court on 09.10.2015, when the Court was pleased to pass the following order:-

"Since one of us is disabled from hearing these matters, place if before Hon'ble the Chief Justice for listing these matters before a Bench of which Hon'ble Mr. Justice Uday Umesh Lalit is not a party.

The parties seek for early listing. Registry may get appropriate orders from Hon'ble the Chief Justice. "

The Writ Petitions along with application above-mentioned are listed before the Hon'ble Court with this Office Report for orders.
