UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Heard.
Learned counsel for the respondents draws my attention to order dated 26th July, 2013 and submits that the present special leave petition which is one out of a batch of three hundred or so similar other cases stands concluded by the decision of this Court in SLP(C) No(s).26548-49 of 2010 and connected matters which were dismissed by this Court by an order dated 13th September, 2012. He submits that since the issues raised in these petitions stand concluded against the petitioners by the said decision there is no reason why the entire batch of cases should not be listed for hearing and disposal at an early date especially when the case involves payment of compensation to land owners who have not been paid. There is merit in that contention. If the matters are already concluded by the decision referred to above there is no reason why these cases should remain pending indefinitely especially when farmers have not received compensation legitimately due to them in terms of the order passed by this Court.
The Registry shall therefore identify all the cases comprising the batch and list the same before an appropriate Bench in the month of February, 2014.
