  1. We decline to entertain the present petition filed by the learned

Lokayukta against an order dated 23rd September, 2022 passed by the

High Court of Karnataka at Bengaluru allowing the writ petition filed by the respondent No.1.

  1. Pertinently, the respondent-State has not assailed the order dated 23rd September, 2022 and in our opinion, it is not for the Lokayukta to challenge the impugned order.

  2. The petition for special leave to appeal is dismissed along with pending application(s), if any.
