UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R IA has been filed with the prayer as follows:- ⬠SIt is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that Your Lordship may graciously be pleased to:- (a) Grant stay of letter/notice dated 06.09.2016 and 16.11.2016; and (b) Pass such other order or orders which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice.⬠\235 The dispute is regarding the liability for duty under the Central Excise Act of the appellant Company which we 2 are informed is defunct now but with immovable asset(land in industrial area in Chennai). Heard learned counsel for the parties. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it appropriate to stay all further proceedings pursuant to the letter/notice dated 06.09.2016 and 16.11.2016 subject to the condition that the applicant/appellant deposits an amount of Rs. 80 lakhs(Rupees Eighty Lakhs only) in the Registry within a period of ten weeks from today. IA stand disposed of accordingly.
