ITEM NO.2 Court 16 (Video Conferencing) SECTION XVI-A
Mr. R. Venkataramani, learned senior counsel and Mr. Surendar Rao, learned senior counsel referred to the Order passed by the
1
Telangana High Court on 22.11.2019, in respect of the inter se seniority dispute of the engineers, in the Irrigation Engineering Department. It is also pointed out that SLPs from the said judgment have traveled to this court and are pending consideration.
The learned counsel submits that since the engineers involved in the litigation were working in the undivided State of Andhra Pradesh (before its bifurcation), it would be appropriate if the seniority issue is decided by the Telangana High Court. This is submitted in the context of the directions issued in respect of the employees of the common High Court where it was said on 27.08.2020 that the proceedings would be maintainable before the Telangana High Court.
Both counsel say that many are involved with the inter se seniority dispute and they propose to indicate the parties who might be affected through transfer of proceedings as prayed, in these cases. Seven days' time is granted accordingly to the petitioners to implead the necessary parties. Post accordingly.
