UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Dr. Manish Singhvi, learned Senior counsel appearing for the State of Rajasthan submits that out of 18 girls, 5 girls have fled away and FIR against them has already been registered. In terms of the order of this court dated 08.07.2020, the parents of 13 girls have filed their respective affidavits. Sh. Balaji Srinivasan, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner -Rescue Foundation, submits that mere filing of affidavit may not be sufficient and it would be just and proper to make further enquiry to find out the genuineness of the parents. In our view, the submission is reasonable.
Therefore parents of 13 girls who have filed affidavits before this Court are directed to appear before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of District Tonk, Rajasthan, within ten days from today and the CJM is directed to hold an enquiry and send a report to this Court in this regard, within six weeks.
State of Rajasthan is directed to file Status report in respect of the missing five girls within eight weeks.
List after eight weeks.
