Delay condoned In SLP (C)...CC No. 15903/2012.

Having heard learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners, we do not find any ground to interfere

: 2 : with the impugned judgments, rendered by the Mumbai & Nagpur Benches of the High Court of Judicature of Bombay. Accordingly, the special leave petitions are dismissed.

However, we clarify that if in future any challenge is laid to the validity of Section 12(1)(a) (ii) of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994, by any affected party, the same shall be considered on its own merits uninfluenced by the dismissal of the present special leave petitions, as the judgments impugned in these petitions have been rendered by the High Court in the writ petitions filed as public interest petitions.
