UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

IA No 30361 of 2019 in SLP (C) No 10498 of 2011

1 Mr Wasim A Qadri, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the Union of India submits that the matter is under consideration at the highest level and he has received a request from the Solicitor General of India to apply for an adjournment of two weeks so as to place the considered view of the Union of India on the application filed by the State of Karnataka, on the record.

• 2 List the Interlocutory Application at 2.00 pm on 13 December 2021.
• 3 The contesting States of Karnataka (represented by Mr Shyam Divan, senior counsel), Telangana (represented by Mr C S Vaidyanathan, senior counsel), Andhra Pradesh (represented by Mr Rakesh Dwivedi, senior counsel) and Maharashtra (represented by Mr Deepak Nargolkar, senior counsel), shall file brief notes of submissions confined to the issues raised in the interlocutory application not exceeding three pages each so as to facilitate the disposal of the IA. In addition, the Union of India shall also be at liberty to file their written submissions at least forty-eight hours before the next date of listing.
