It is submitted that Mr. B. Balaji, Advocate has on 18th July,2016 filed the instant Original Suit on behalf of State of Tamil Nadu.

It is further submitted that Summons under Order XXVII Rule, 1 of Supreme Court Rules, 2013 was issued on 31st August,2016. There are 3 Defendants. Service of Summons is respect of Defendant No. 1 (State of Andhra Pradesh) is complete by way of Speed Post and Defendant No. 3 (Union of India, Ministry of Water Resource) is complete through Ld. Attorney General for India but no one has filed Vakalatnama so far. Defendant No. 2 (State of Karnataka) is represented through Mr. V.N. Raghupathy, Advocate.

Service of Summons is complete.

It is further submitted that Mr. B.Balaji, Advocate has on 12th January, 2017 filed Chamber Summons and the same were endorsed for 20th February, 2017. Counsel for plaintiff has not filed proof of service of Chamber Summons so far.

Accordingly, the matter above mentioned was listed on 27th February, 2017 before the Hon'ble JudgeinChamber, when His Lordship was pleased to pass the following order:

"List the matter before another Bench."

It is further submitted for information of the Hon'ble Court that Counsel for the Plaintiff has on 3rd March, 2017 filed an application for amendment of plaint and the same is registered as Interlocutory Application No. 2 of 2017 and placed with the main paper books.

The Office Report for Directions abovementioned is listed before the Hon'ble JudgeinChambers with this office report.
