UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
In compliance of the order of this Court, the Advocate-on-Record for the petitioner has filed the additional affidavit dated 12.3.2019. We have perused the affidavit. We are troubled by the fact that it took one year for the Screening Committee of the Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee (SCLSC) to opine to file the special leave petition. Thus, this aspect needs some attention at the Digitally signed by SARITA PUROHIT Date: 2019.04.03 17:01:49 IST Reason: Signature Not Verified
hand of the SCLSC. A copy of the order be sent to SCLSC. The petition was resubmitted to the SCLSC.
In view of the facts set out, delay in filing and refiling the special leave petition is condoned.
We do not find any merit in this petition. the special leave petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
Pending applications stand disposed of.
