No doubt, it is pointed out that as per the 2018
census, in India, there are 2967 tigers spread out in 53 tiger reserves. What is more, it is pointed out that this number constituted 70 per cent of the total tiger population across the world and figures point to growth of the number of tigers.
In view of the fact that the petitioner is not present today, in the the interest of justice, we adjourn the matter for giving opportunity for the petitioner to assist the Court.
Accordingly, list this matter on 03rd March, 2023.
Registry will also take steps to inform the petitioner of this order.
