The instant special leave petition has been received from the Petitioner above named who is confined in Model Jail, Chandigarh, Punjab, against the Judgment and Order dated 22nd July, 2013, of the High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh in Crl. A. No. 184DB of 2009, through Superintendent, Central Jail, Ludhiana, Punjab. Dr. Laxmi Shastri, Advocate, has been appointed as Amicus Curiae to assist the Hon'ble Court on behalf of the Petitioner in the instant matter as the petitioner is undefended and confined in Jail.

It is submitted that the instant petition is barred by time by 360 days and the Petitioner has sent an application for condonation of delay in the matter.

It is further submitted that Special Leave Petition (Crl.) No. 3970 of 2014 entitled as Manvir Singh vs The State of U.T. Chandigarh arising out of common order was listed before the Hon'ble Court on 02.7.2014 when the Hon'ble Court directed to issue notice. Copy of Record of Proceedings dated 02.7.2014 is enclosed herewith for the kind perusal of the Hon'ble Court. The Special Leave Petition (Crl.) No. 3970 of 2014 is pending before the Hon'ble Court.

The application for condonation of delay in the mater above mentioned is therefore, listed before the Hon'ble Court with this Report.
