UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Mr. Ranjit Kumar, learned Solicitor General appearing for the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) as well as for the Railways submitted that the Status Report of MoEF would be filed within two days.
Liberty is granted to the petitioners to file any memorandum indicating deficiencies and suggestions so that the accidental death of Elephants in the railway track is avoided.
We hope and trust that the learned counsel appearing for the parties shall not treat as any kind of adversarial litigation.
Mr. Bhatt, learned counsel appearing for the State of West Bengal is at liberty to address this Court with regard to the interim order passed on earlier occasion as against the State of West Bengal.
