UPON hearing the counsel, the Court made the following ORDER

Issue notice, returnable in the month of September 2023. Notices will be served by all modes, including dasti.

Learned Senior Advocate appearing for the appellant states that the appellant - M/S. Brandix Intimate India Pvt. Ltd., in view of the mishap, would deposit Rs.10,00,00,000/- (Rupees ten crores only). This statement is made without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the appellant - M/S. Brandix Intimate India Pvt. Ltd.

The said amount will be deposited within a period of six weeks from today and will be converted into an interest bearing Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR) for a period of six months. The FDR will be renewed from time to time.

In view of the statement made, there will be stay of operation of the impugned judgment/order directing payment.

The Committee referred to in the impugned judgment will submit a report within a period of three months from today. Copy of the said report will be also submitted to the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
