Delay condoned.

The additional affidavit filed by the State evidence that the respondent did not report and join the institution allocated on the appointed date and as a result, the seat was allotted to someone else. These facts have been deposed to on behalf of the State by Shri Siddiq M. Ahmed, Joint Director of Medical Education, Directorate of Medical Education, Bengaluru Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) Campus, Bengaluru, Karnataka in the affidavit dated 18.07.2023.

In these circumstances, the petition has been rendered infructuous and is accordingly dismissed.
