Heard Mr. Sachin Dutta, learned senior counsel for the appellant and Mr. Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, the respondent appearing in-person.

It is not disputed by Mr. Agrawal that he has already got the refund of the principal amount.

Regard being had to the factual score, we direct the appellant to pay 14% interest to the respondent within six weeks hence. Be it noted, the interest shall be paid as per the direction given by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi. We may further hasten to add that while giving the interest component to the respondent, TDS shall not be deducted and the tax component shall be borne by the appellant.

The appeals are, accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
