UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following

O R D E R

Ms. Medha Gadgil, Additional Chief Secretary who is presently in charge of the Department of Environment in the Government of Maharashtra and Mr. P. Anbalagan who is presently Member Secretary of the Maharasthra Pollution Control Board are present in Court.

We have heard them as well as learned counsel appearing on their behalf.

An affidavit should be filed indicating the progress made and steps taken to improve the quality of water in Ulhas and Walduni rivers.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1 says that the condition of the river is extremely bad and he has shown us some report given by K.J. Somaiya College of Science and Commerce.

Necessary affidavits be filed by all concerned within two weeks.

List the matter on 06.10.2017 so that further orders can be passed.
