Pursuant to order dated 14th July, 2005, the Director General of R evenue Intelligence has appeared in person. Learned senior counsel a ppearing on behalf of appellants has made vain efforts to satisfy us that appropriate steps ha ve been already taken by the Director of Revenue Intelligence. We are not satis

fied

that proper steps have been taken. In our view the departmen t has been throughout negligent. In any view of the matter, let the matter be placed after f our weeks as learned senior counsel states that effective steps shal l be taken for apprehending respondent No. 2 by attachment of the property belonging to him.
