UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Learned counsel for the petitioner has candidly admitted that subsequently the petitioner has already paid a total sum of Rs.73,23,807/- as demanded for allotment of the marginal land. Therefore, as such, no further order is required to be passed by this Court in the present proceedings.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that now the authorities are asking for the interest on the delayed payment of Rs.58,12,872/-. The aforesaid can be said to be a fresh cause of action. It will be open for the petitioner to initiate fresh proceedings and as and when such proceedings are initiated, the same be considered in accordance with law and on its own merits.
The Special Leave Petition stands dismissed.
