UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R The learned Solicitor General on instructions of the petitioner states at the Bar that women SSC officers in service would be considered for grant of Permanent Commission in JAG and Education Branch of the Army within two months' from today an the case of Major Leena Gurav would be considered on priority basis, subject to fulfilment of requirements of law. In view of the statement made at the Bar, the matters are adjourned by two months to enable the petitioner to take appropriate steps in terms of the statement made by the learned Solicitor General at the Bar. By way of ad-interim relief, the Contempt Proceedings initiated against the petitioner are stayed, till further orders.
