UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
A copy of letter dated 4th September, 2012 has been placed before us by the learned Additional Solicitor General, wherein it is stated that a meeting of the Cauvery River Authority under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Prime Minister is now scheduled for 19th September, 2012. In view of the said communication, one of the prayers made in the application stands addressed.
On the question of interim direction to the State of Karnataka for release of additional quantity of water, Mr. C.S. Vaidyanathan, learned senior counsel appearing for the State of Tamil Nadu has placed before us a statement of flows at Biligundlu, which according to learned counsel has been prepared as per the distress formula, as adopted by the State of Karnataka.
Mr. Anil B. Diwan, learned senior counsel appearing for the State of Karnataka prays for some time to seek instructions on some of the charts filed in a separate compilation.
