We are distressed to read the contents of letter dated 5th November, 2002, written by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to the Prime Minister. It is unfortunate that a sort of lack of faith has been insinuated in that letter against C.R.A. in general and Prime Minister of the country in particular. Mr. Venugopal, however, states that the State of Tamil Nadu has full faith on the Prime Minister and the C.R.A. Learned counsel further submits that soon a letter will be sent by the Chief Minister of the State to the Prime Minister withdrawing the insinuations in the letter and expressing faith and confidence in the Prime Minister and C.R.A. In the meanwhile, the State should also respond to the affidavit dated 14th November, 2002 filed on behalf of the State of Karnataka. Let the State of Tamil Nadu do its part within four days so that we have definite information on the next date of hearing about the date of convening of C.R.A. meeting. Learned Solicitor General will take instructions in that aspect.
List the matters on 22.11.2002.
