This is a transfer petition filed for invoking Article 139A(2) of the Constitution of India. Under the proviso to Rule 1 of Order VI of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013, there is no specific provision under which a transfer petition filed under Article 139A(2) can be heard and disposed of by a Single Judge. But Rule 6 Order VI specifically provides that such a power can be exercised by a Single Judge while sitting singly as a Vacation Judge.
The Registry shall take immediate steps for listing this petition before the appropriate Bench.
