Heard learned counsel for the parties.

As the petitioner has remained in jail for more than 24 years in reference to the life sentence, coupled with the fact that there is no adverse record regarding his conduct in jail and also because the case of petitioner has already been recommended by the District Magistrate for premature release, which proposal is pending consideration before the competent authority, we direct the petitioner (Subhash) be released forthwith on bail to the satisfaction of the Trial Court in connection with Sessions Trial No. 344 of 2000 arising from Crime No. 7 of 2000 registered at Police Station- Sikheda, District-Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh and on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the Trial Court.

However, pendency of this Writ Petition will be no impediment for the competent authority to process the case of the petitioner for premature release expeditiously.

This bail is granted only in reference to Sessions Trial No. 344 of 2000 arising from Crime No. 7 of 2000 registered at Police Station- Sikheda, District-Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

As the petitioner has remained in jail for more than 34 years in reference to the life sentence, coupled with the fact that there is no adverse record regarding his conduct in jail and also because the case of petitioner has already been recommended by the District Magistrate for premature release, which proposal is pending consideration before the competent authority, we direct the petitioner (Vinod Kumar) be released forthwith on bail to the satisfaction of the Additional District Judge, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh in connection with Sessions Trial No. 337 of 1984 and on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the Trial Court.

However, pendency of this Writ Petition will be no impediment for the competent authority to process the case of the petitioner for premature release expeditiously.

This bail is granted only in reference to Sessions Trial No. 337 of 1984.
