- 4 Mr Balbir Singh, learned Additional Solicitor General appearing on behalf of the petitioners, states that the High Court has quashed the show cause notice only in respect of the present respondent. Hence, he seeks a clarification that the issuance of notice on the SLP filed by the Union of India in the present proceedings will not affect the proceedings in any other case.
- 5 We clarify that the notice is confined only to the dispute with the respondent and in regard to the order of the High Court quashing the notice to show cause that was issued to the respondent. This order shall not affect any other proceedings which do not pertain to the respondent.
