UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

We have heard learned senior counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.

Given the efflux of time, the tenure of the petitioner is now over. What is now required is for the election to be conducted afresh.

Since there is already an interim Committee constituted, headed by Hon'ble Justice K. Ramamoorthy (Retd.) of the Madras and Delhi High Court, we request him to undertake the exercise of Digitally signed by SWETA BALODI Date: 2024.12.06 17:23:18 IST Reason:

conducting the election within a period of three months from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order.

We make it clear that till such time, the interim arrangement which is already in place shall continue.

We further make it clear that it is open to the Chairman of the Interim Committee who has been requested to conduct and oversee the Election, to have the assistance that he requires. The observations made in the impugned judgment will not have any bearing on the further proceedings.

We have not expressed anything on the merits of the case, including the issues which are to be decided in the suit.

The Special Leave Petition stands disposed of accordingly.

Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
