O R D E R
- 1 Ms Garima Prasad, Additional Advocate General for the State of Uttar Pradesh states that in compliance of the order of this Court dated 9 May 2022, the State Government considered the case of the petitioner for premature release, but it was rejected initially on 2 June 2022 and thereafter on 24 July 2023 when his request was declined on the ground that the petitioner who is convicted in a case involving a triple murder is not at present eligible for premature release.
- 2 A copy of the order dated 24 July 2023 shall be immediately served on the counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner so as to enable the petitioner to take appropriate steps, if he is so advised, to challenge the order of Digitally signed by rejection of premature release.
- 3 The Contempt Petition is accordingly disposed of.
- 4 Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
