Learned Additional Solicitor General has shown us a Monitoring Form for the State of Chattisgarh by way of a sample. Similar forms with more and better particulars can easily be prepared and the information obtained online which can then be monitored more effectively. Learned Additional Solicitor General says that he will look into the matter and advise the Ministry accordingly and ensure that a necessary programme is prepared.
It is further stated by learned Additional Solicitor General that the information that has already been received is being collated. This will take about a month or so for collation. The information as on 31st March, 2016 should be placed before us a few days before the next date of hearing.
Mr. Rajesh Kumar Goel, Director, NALSA says that the Training Manual for Probationary Officers as well as for Legal Aid Counsel is not yet ready although the same was to be ready by 31 st March, 2016. Time has already been extended for this purpose. In spite of that, the reports have not yet been prepared. Mr. Goel requests for three months time. It is not possible to go on extending time
4 like this. If the work cannot be done, NALSA should inform us that it cannot be done so that some other body can take up this task. However, considering the request, we extend time till the next date of hearing.
