UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Sr. AAG for the State of U.P.

Taking note of the fact that in the connected case, imposition of cost of Rs.25,00,000/- by the High Court on the learned counsel who appeared before it on behalf of the present petitioner was interfered with by this Court as per order dated 3.11.2017 and it was reduced to Rs.10,000/-, we are inclined to interfere with the order of cost against the petitioner and also to reduce the same.

However, taking note of the contumacious conduct on the part of the petitioner, we are of the view that the cost can be reduced only to an amount of Rs.1,00,000/-. It is ordered accordingly.
