UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
IA No.92824/2024 in SLP(Crl) No.13501/2023
1. The prayer in this application is to release the petitioner on interim bail on the ground of his father's diagnosis of a Liver Abscess and his stated suicidal tendency. Another ground taken by the petitioner is that his brother is also suffering from Heart ailments and is undergoing surgery, rendering him unable to take care of their father or accompany him for medical appointments.
2. Mr. S.V. Raju, learned Additional Solicitor General of India, states and rightly so that the respondents be given some time to verify the medical certificates relied upon by the petitioner.
3. Ordinarily, we would have granted time for this verification. However, owing to the urgency involved in the matter and subject to verification of the medical documents relied upon by the petitioner, we direct that the petitioner be released on interim bail for a period of four weeks, subject to his furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. In case the certificates relied upon by the petitioner are found to be not genuine, appropriate consequences will follow.
4. Interlocutory Application is disposed of accordingly.
