Heard learned Senior counsel counsel appearing for the petitioner.

Heard Mr. Nidhesh Gupta, learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioner – State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh and Mr. Tushar Mehta, learned Solicitor General appearing for the Union of India.
During the course of hearing, learned Solicitor General makes a Statement before us that the process for making appointments in various Tribunals has already started and Members in the Central Administrative Tribunal have in fact been appointed. He further assures us that appointments in other Tribunals would be made at the earliest.
Taking into consideration the said Statement made by the learned Solicitor General and as prayed by him seeking some time to

do the needful in the matter, we are granting 10 days' time to him for the said purpose.
We make it clear that pendency of the Writ Petitions and Special Leave Petition before this Court shall not come in the way of the Union of India and/or taking an excuse by them for not processing/appointing Members in various Tribunals.
