UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
The matters will require an extensive hearing. Shri P.S. Patwalia, learned Additional Solicitor General appearing for the Union of India submitted that the matter is under examination of the concerned Ministry and that a decision will be taken in this regard which will be placed before the Court in the form of an affidavit of the Competent Authority. Let the needful be done within eight weeks from today.
Such of the States that desire to file their affidavit(s) may also do so within four weeks from today. Rejoinder affidavit, if any, may be filed within two weeks thereafter.
It is also submitted at the Bar that some of the State have not been served. Office to verify and ensure completion of service well in time.
List the matters for final disposal on 7th April, 2015.
